There are SO many great sales going on right now, some are ending today but some are extended until after labor day! So I figured I’d show you a couple of my favorite items from each sale 🙂

Steve Madden Platform Sandal – $65

Nurse Jamie Facial Trio – I have been eyeing the Nurse Jamie uplift for quite some time now (all because of Tati) and this is a trio set for $46 – the uplift is original $69!

Quay Australia Aviators – Marked down to $29!!

express

Express is the perfect place to buy your “going out” closet staples. The entire site is currently 40% off and womens jeans are 50% off!

One Shoulder Tie Tank – Only $15!!

Sequin Mini Skirt – $41. I wore this last weekend to celebrate my 22nd birthday and I loved it. Just the right amount of extra 😉

Strapless Sweetheart Romper – $41. I love this because it’s simple – but you can do a lot with it! PicMonkey Image-6

It was not until recently that I started shopping at Abercrombie again, they have so many cute fall items right now and their sales are great!

Snap-Up Fleece – I am obsessed. Comes in many different colors!

Cozy Swing Dress – This also comes in different colors and I think it’s perfect for fall!

Lace Trim Cami – These are SUPER in right now. The reason I like mine so much is because you can wear it under a lot of different cardigans and blazers, or by itself!

Goodnight Macaroon is the perfect place to get sweaters and cardigans. They have so many unique styles that you might not see a lot of other places. It has been one of my favorites for a while now.

“Silvia” Eyelet Halter Neck Lightweight Sweater / “Pansy” Two Tone High Low V-Neck Sweater / “Acadia” Fuzzy Fleece Sweater

With fall approaching – what kind of blog posts do you want to see?! What are you guys looking to add to your closet right now?! Let me know in the comments or DM me 🙂

Chicago Botanic Garden + styling my favorite tank from the #NSALE

Edit34567IMG_7783.JPG8

Lace-up Tank / High Waisted Shorts / Sandals

I can’t believe that I have been living in Illinois for almost 5 years now and I hadn’t gone to the Chicago Botanic Gardens until now..They are seriously so beautiful. These photos do not even do it justice.  There is also a super cute café and gift shop!

My favorite tank from the Nordstrom sale is restocked in limited sizes and in some colors so grab it while you can! Also, my shorts are on clearance at Target right now for $11! My slides are also from Target and I have literally been living in them. This was such an easy outfit to throw on. I want this tank in other colors!

Dress / Wedges / Necklace

Yesterday I spent the day in Chicago at the Merchandise Mart with a co-worker returning some fabric samples and picking up some tile samples. This was surprisingly only my third or fourth time in the Mart and I forgot how stunning the showrooms are. I could spend all day there! After the Mart, we went to The Hampton Social and it was my first time there – seriously so cute! I have seen a ton of photos taken there so of course, we had to go!

I mainly wanted to do this blog post because I finally got my hands on this dress that I have been eyeing FOREVER! It is so flattering and I have seen it on so many people styled so many different ways. It is a little on the pricier side but I am so glad I finally got it. It is so comfortable and so easy to dress up or down! I love that you can wear it now but you are also able to style it in the Winter, Spring, and Fall! It is the perfect little black dress, and I will definitely be getting it in other colors!

This is the same BP. Lace Trimmed Cami – I love that you can style it so many ways all year long! Hopefully, it will be restocked 🙂

This was my first time ever shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and wow it was totally worth it! In my opinion, shopping this sale will save me soo much money in the end because throughout the rest of the year I would’ve shopped more if I hadn’t picked these things up for such great deals! Two things that are not pictured that I also got from the sale are these Zella Live in High Waist Leggings which are the BEST! I did not expect to love them as much as my Lulu Lemon leggings but I do! I also got this basic tee in black that is marked down to only $11 (will hopefully be restocked in more sizes and colors?!) I obviously didn’t go too crazy because being on a college budget doesn’t stop when you graduate! 😉

Free People Thermal Top

IMG_3173-1IMG_3174IMG_3172IMG_3171Free People Thermal Top / Booties / Jeans / Monogram Necklace

This thermal top from Free People is one of the COMFIEST tops I have ever owned. It definitely runs big – so I would size down (I probably should have.) It also looks cute with a lace bralette underneath! There are so many ways you can style this. Considering it is still cold and not feeling like Spring at all in Illinois, I am still pairing it with booties. I got these booties at Target for $9 (not even kidding) on clearance – they don’t have them anymore, but they are very similar to ones I’ve found on Nordstrom. Something about these are SO flattering – they make your legs look longer! They’re super comfy and easy to walk in too. Honestly all Target shoes go on major clearance at the end of each season, so instead of paying full price for a lot of their shoes I wait until they go on clearance!

I’ve been so inconsistent with blogging lately – I’ve really been trying to enjoy my spring semester of senior year, I have less than a month left until graduation.  It’s starting to really hit me that I’m about to join the big-girl world (scary.) But I’m hoping to write more blog posts on my college experience too!

Starting to feel like spring!

IMG_3165IMG_3166-1IMG_3168IMG_3195IMG_3167Jacket / Jeans / Boots / Louis Vuitton Neverfull

The weather is slowly but surely starting to get warmer, and now that it is officially spring break my roommate and I were able to take some photos! I had wanted these Sam Edelman boots for so long – and I stumbled upon them at Nordstrom Rack the other day on sale for $45! I was seriously shocked that they were marked down that low –  so I of course had to get them. This scarf is from J Crew, I got it a few years ago but it is still one of my favorites for the fall and spring. As I’m writing this I realized that it snowed last night…maybe Spring isn’t here yet. Luckily I am Mexico bound in 3 days!

Spicing it up with stilettos

IMG_1993IMG_1995IMG_1991IMG_1841IMG_1984

Top / Jeans / Stilettos / Monogram Necklace / Louis Vuitton Neverfull

Sometimes all it takes to spice up your outfit is throwing on a pair of heels – it seriously changes the entire look! If you’re still wanting to keep it casual for during the day, you can never go wrong with ripped jeans and a blouse! This blouse is one of my go-to’s..tie sleeve blouses are really in right now. My heels from Akira are currently only $25! I’ve had these stilettos for almost four years now, and they’ve held up pretty nicely. Over winter break I got these Hollister jeans for only $25 – keep an eye out for markdowns on their denim, they have randomly had really great sales! I had forgotten how much I love Hollister jeans..Those and Express denim are my two favorites right now!

For a while I never had the guts to wear heels around, maybe just for photos or a blog post, but otherwise I felt as if people would think I was way overdressed. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not worth worrying about what others think so much, especially when it comes to fashion. And in my vocabulary, there is no such thing as being
overdressed”
. As cheesy as it may be – my motto has always been “you look good, you feel good, and you do good” and that’s something I live by!
